As you may recall Port Stephens Council undertook some preliminary consultation during May 2017 (Stage 1) to help generate ideas regarding the Master Plan for this area and now a draft Master Plan has been prepared for further review and comment. See below the newsletter for more information about this project.
The draft Master Plan for the Birubi Point Aboriginal Place is on public exhibition from 9 August 2017 to 31 August 2017 and Council will be holding a drop-in information session at Birubi Point Surf Life Saving Club on Saturday, 12 August 2017 from 10am to 2pm. This Stage 2 consultation will focus on reviewing the draft Master Plan for this area and building on the initial consultation held during May 2017.
At the drop-in information session, you can drop in anytime between 10am to 2pm to view the Master Plan in large format, ask questions and to provide feedback.
Stage 3 consultation will provide the legislative consultation element for this project will include recommendations to Council, final draft documents and a formal public exhibition period. Port Stephens Council are working towards presenting the final draft documents to Council in October 2017.
