As we all know Port Stephens is spoilt when it comes to our natural environment with sparkling waterways, pristine beaches, unrivalled sand dunes and beautiful National Parks. So there no greater reason to celebrate and promote the region as one of NSW’s premier nature destinations.
In continuing and building on the success of last year’s Naturefest Port Stephens, the team at Destination Port Stephens have been working with our Naturefest working group to plan for the 2017 program. Based on feedback from last year Naturefest has been expanded to include the July School Holidays (June 1 – July 15) along with increasing the focus on our land-based nature assets.
The program is starting to take shape with key signature events to include the launch of the Whale season, a new Koala Festival, Dolphin Census, Blue Water Country Music Festival, World Ocean Day, the Shutterfest Photography Competition and the all-important Human Whale taking place on July 15th. These key events will also be supported by the ongoing nature-based activities taking place over the duration the festival.
We are now calling for submissions of events and activities. So if you are planning to host any activities or events taking in June/July that relate to Nature (on-the-land or on-the-water) then we want to know, so please complete the below registration form so that we can be sure to include it in the program.
Remember this is a free opportunity to members so please take advantage of this.
Naturefest 2017 is proudly supported by D’Albora Marins, Imagine Cruises, Moonshadow-TQC Cruises and Port Stephens 4WD Tours
