
LOVE SEA FOOD TASTES PORT STEPHENS – TOOLKIT
The renowned Port Stephens events, Love Sea Food and Tastes of the Bay, have joined in 2019 to create one of the biggest events on the winter calendar in Port Stephens.
Presented by Destination Port Stephens and Tomaree Business Chamber, this year the program of events has expanded .
This August we will celebrate our coastal cuisine with a Port To Plate Gala Dinner on 3rd August, Seafood Lunch and Dinner specials, Signature Dining experiences, weekly seafood cooking classes and the finale event of the month-long celebration, the Tastes Port Stephens food, wine and jazz weekend.
Tickets to see the Hot Potato Band, a 10 piece brass band like no other, are on sale now for the evening of Saturday, 31 August during the Tastes Port Stephens weekend event to encourage overnight visitation.
For members to leverage the opportunities of the event, we have developed the Love Sea Food Tastes Port Stephens Event Toolkit. DOWNLOAD THE TOOLKIT which features suggested copy and social media tiles as well as the event video to use in your own marketing channels.

INVITATION – FOOTGOLF ASIA CUP INFORMATION DAY – Thursday, 11 July from 2.30pm
Horizons Golf Resort will host the FootGolf Asia Cup in November 2019 and is inviting all DPS Members to an Asia Cup Information Session. The briefing will cover an overview of the the sport, Asia Cup business opportunities and Horizons plans to bring more international tournaments to the region. PORT STEPHENS HUSTLE – SATURDAY 20 JULY
The Hustle is a treasure hunt through the bays, forests, beaches and streets of Nelson Bay In similar style as the popular TV show ‘Amazing Race’. In teams of 2, you will explore on foot answering questions, solving puzzles and completing challenges all with the end game of being the team with the most points at the finish.
It is going to be fun, fast (or slow if you want) with a hint of adventure. All you need is a pair of joggers and sense of humour + perhaps be up for anything. The Port Stephens Hustle is a going to be great fun so get a team together from work, bring your family and friends and get out and about and have some fun exploring our amazing little piece of paradise.

American Beer Month at Murrays Brewery I Thursday 4th July to Sunday 28th July.
Murray’s Brewery is celebrating American Independence Day from Thursday 4 July – for a whole month! Yes, the distinctive aromas, colours, flavours and sounds of America will be showcased again at its Bobs Farm brewery and winery right across the month of July. A week of celebrations held across Australia to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Gin and Jazz at Murrays Brewery I Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th July
Free live jazz and rockin blues concerts will feature across the weekend. Murray’s will be serving up a range of non-traditional gin-based cocktails – as you probably haven’t experienced before. There will be Gin masterclasses, a release of a new Gin, Gin Sin and the kitchen will be serving up finger lickin American food. Read more.
Human Whale I Sunday 14th July
A World Record attempt to create the biggest human humpback as we celebrate the annual whale watching season. Join all the fun as the mammoth mammal takes shape on the sand of Fingal Beach. Keep an eye on the website, more details to come.
PCYC Nations of Origin I Tuesday 16th to Thursday 18th July.
Nations of Origin is a multifaceted sport, cultural, education and leadership program which culminates during NAIDOC week annually at Raymond Terrace. The program has four main components: reconciliation, education, cultural identity and sport. Full details.
