Horizons Golf Resort to host the 2019 FootGolf Asia Cup in November 2019
Congratulations to FootGolf Australia and to Horizons Golf Resort on the successful bid to host the FootGolf Asia Cup 2019 in Port Stephens. The event will be held from the 18th -22nd November 2019 at Horizons Golf Resort and will attract players from over 10 countries including China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand and India.
FootGolf is a growing sport globally and this event is a great opportunity to showcase Horizons Golf Resort and Port Stephens internationally. There will be opportunities for the broader community including clinics run by top players from the region. For more information horizons.com.au/footgolf
Love Sea Food secures $20,000 in funding
Destination Port Stephens was delighted with the announcement on Thursday, 28th February that our application was successful and that Love Sea Food 2019 would receive $20,000 in funding from the NSW Government under Round 2 of the Flagship Event Fund The month-long calendar of events, being held in August 2019, has been designed to showcase the quality, freshness and provenance of the region’s amazing seafood. Building on the success of Love Sea Food in 2018, the funding will be invested to promote Love Sea Food with the aim to increase visitation to Port Stephens during the traditional low season.
Destination Network – Meetings and Events Australia Diploma of Event Management Scholarships
Applications are now open for people based in regional NSW to undertake a Diploma of Event Management via Meetings and Events Australia (MEA). There are six scholarships available, one per each Destination Network in NSW.
The Diploma of Event Management has been designed specifically to accommodate study by distance learning for people already working in the events industry in regional NSW. It is recommended that you read through the terms and conditions prior to applying.
