PORT STEPHENS’ ‘WINTER SURVIVAL FESTIVAL’ THIS JUNE LONG WEEKEND
· FREE concerts featuring Mark Wells Band
· 4 new local beers
· Comfort food including the return of the 1 kilogram rib rack!
Saturday 11 – Monday 13 June
Forget the crocs, spiders, snakes and even the dreaded drop bear . . . the true enemy of Australians is winter. When the air gets a bit nippy and the uggs make their annual debut, you can turn to Murray’s Brewery for rescue!
Port Stephens’ brewer, Murray’s Craft Brewing Co, promises to warm things up at its Dark Beer Winter Survival Festival this June long weekend. There are FREE live concerts, limited edition beer releases, and comfort food in abundance.
“We’re aiming to give people some great survival tools and reasons to embrace winter. Each June we bring out our darkest beers to help make winter warmer,” says brewery owner, Murray Howe. “These aren’t ordinary beers. They’re big, audacious, crazy Imperial Stouts, Coffee Stouts, Chocolate Porters, Strong Dark Belgian Ales and Brown Ales – and we’ve ensured there’s something for everyone.”
“So take a walk on the dark side. Experience Port Stephens and try some warming dark beers, and delicious food specials – including our famous 1 kilogram rack of dark beer-marinated ribs which are making a return for the festival. Enjoy great live music and great company.”
This June long weekend there will be free concerts at Murray’s Brewery. The hugely popular Mark Wells Band headlines the entertainment, playing a free live concert on Sunday 12 June. Tim Rossington of X Factor distinction performs on Saturday 11 June, with everyone’s favourite songs performed featuring unique twists.
Four limited release beers will be pouring on the weekend, in addition to Murray’s award-winning regular beer range and AppleShack Cider.
They include the cult dark brew, Murray’s ‘Wild Thing’ Imperial Stout. Visitors can also enjoy ‘Wild Thing Coffee’ Imperial Stout (for the first time), ‘Hell of the North’ Strong Dark Belgian Ale, and by popular demand, ‘Angry Man’ Brown Ale.
A Brewery Bus is available on Easter Saturday and Sunday. Bookings are essential.
Murray’s Brewery’s large undercover facilities will ensure that events will proceed – rain, hail or shine.
